Another long overdue chapter
In the last few months my life has changed a lot. Some summary of the changes:
- No student anymore, got a full time job
- I am living in Delft anymore, moved to Deventer
- Some other things I can’t think about at the moment
So maybe I finally got the time to update this a little bit more often…
Recent beheaviour
During the last weeks I didn’t find the time to write a new item. But the wait is over because here it is. In the last weeks some things have changed. Got my new spectacles, got my new haircut.
After ordering my new glasses I had to wait almost two weeks before I could get it. But now that I have them, I am happy with them. With the new glasses on I visited the Amsterdam Admirals. Too bad they got slaughtered by the Cologne Centurions with 3o to 7. But it was to be expected as the Admirals finally started to play in the last quarter. At the game I also had the opportunity to compare both pairs of glasses. With the old one I couldn’t read the back numbers and with the new ones I could!
My new haircut is also an improvement with the rising temperatures over here. Got it a little bit too short but that will fix itself in next week or two.
In the last weeks I am also looking for getting a new living place with a couple of friends, but till today without luck. So if you know a place that is ready to be sold and qualifies bu the following items let me know:
- Delft or close to Delft
- 4 bedrooms that are not too small
- Affordable
- Good neighbourhood
Operation Spectacles
After almost 10 years I realized it was time to get a new pair of glasses. Friday night I made some arrangements to check for new set. With the help of Jacinta and Naomi we picked a couple of frames that went to the second round. With the help of a Pearl employee we picked a winner. Because it was already after closing time of the shop (people do need to eat sometimes), we handed over the frame and went to the Mexican restaurant “La Cantina” and we had great dinner. After dinner we went back to the store.
The nice lady told us that the frame we had chosen was not really an option because it would let stick out the glass with almost 8mm. So back to the collection and after bringing down the selection to 3 we finally chosen the one it will be. Then it was time to measure my eyes. The values that the eye specialist at the hospital offered where off with at max half a point. After that she filled in the forms and ordered the glasses. In two weeks I can collect the new one and I will upload a picture of it.
Thanks goes to Jacinta and Naomi to accompany me on this task.
After the jump a photo of a frame that didn’t even came close the finals and pics of my advisors. Read the rest of this entry »
Back in business once more
After more then a year I finally found the time to update something to my blog. I was just to lazy to do a complete update procedure so I deleted the old stuff and made a fresh install. This time probably less geek stuff and more talk about whisky. Whisky is since a year one of my biggest hobbies (not being an alcoholic).
Also I am proud to mention I have graduated and I am now a Bachelor of ICT. Also I am looking for a master of science programme so ideas are welcome. For now I will keep it with this and soon you can read some more.
