Operation Spectacles

May 13th, 2007 | Mans Matulewicz | Personal

After almost 10 years I realized it was time to get a new pair of glasses. Friday night I made some arrangements to check for new set. With the help of Jacinta and Naomi we picked a couple of frames that went to the second round. With the help of a Pearl employee we picked a winner. Because it was already after closing time of the shop (people do need to eat sometimes), we handed over the frame and went to the Mexican restaurant “La Cantina” and we had great dinner. After dinner we went back to the store.

The nice lady told us that the frame we had chosen was not really an option because it would let stick out the glass with almost 8mm. So back to the collection and after bringing down the selection to 3 we finally chosen the one it will be. Then it was time to measure my eyes. The values that the eye specialist at the hospital offered where off with at max half a point. After that she filled in the forms and ordered the glasses. In two weeks I can collect the new one and I will upload a picture of it.

Thanks goes to Jacinta and Naomi to accompany me on this task.

After the jump a photo of a frame that didn’t even came close the finals and pics of my advisors.

No way this would be the winner Naomi trying out a frame Jacinta testing a frame
